Kot Erasmus

Le Kot Erasmus accueille, soutien, aide et accompagne les étudiants Erasmus tout au long de leur échange.
Nous logeons temporairement les Erasmus dans nos dortoirs tout en les accompagnant dans leur recherche de kot. Certains d’entre eux finissent même par être internes ou externes au sein de notre KAP qui se compose habituellement de 18 étudiants: 10 erasmus et 8 belges. En attendant la fin des travaux de notre bâtiment si emblématique Place des Paniers, le Kot Erasmus accueille une dizaine d’étudiants avec une minorité de belges au coeur des Bruyères.
Mais le Kot Erasmus ne se résume pas qu’à ses dortoirs! Nous sommes aussi présents dans l’animation estudiantine par l’organisation de divers évènements comme notre Welcome Week en S0 (c’est à dire avant la rentrée), ou bien nos Country Presentations, International Dinner, Hiking Trip, Surprise Dinner or Surprise Drink, Halloween, Valentin’s day, St Patrick… et plus encore ! Nous sommes aussi présents aux 24h vélo par l’intermédiaire d’un bar, ou de notre participation à la course, et nous contribuons du mieux que nous pouvons aux autres projets kapistes comme celui du KPI, qui organisent le Buljono puis le Tutmonda.
En bref, les étudiants du Kot Erasmus n’ont jamais le temps de s’ennuyer, et ne cessent de s’enrichir grâce à l’intersection de toutes ces cultures au sein d’un même foyer.
Notre but est de faire découvrir à tous les étudiants étrangers notre université, la Belgique, nos valeurs, nos traditions, notre sens de la fête et les richesses de Louvain-la-Neuve!

Kot Erasmus welcomes, supports, and helps Erasmus students throughout their exchange.
We temporarily accommodate Erasmus students in our dormitories while supporting them in their search for accommodation. Some of them even end up being « interns » or « externs » in our KAP which usually consists of 18 students: 10 Erasmus and 8 Belgians. While we are waiting for the end of the restoration in our emblematic Place des Paniers building, the Kot Erasmus welcomes around ten students with a minority of Belgians in the heart of Les Bruyères.
But Kot Erasmus is not just about its dorms! We are also present in student animation by organizing various events such as our Welcome Week in S0 (before school starts), or our Country Presentations, International Dinner, Hiking Trip, Surprise Dinner or Surprise Drink , Halloween, Valentin’s day, St Patrick … and more! We are also present at the 24h Vélo through a bar, or our participation in the competition, and we contribute as much as we can to other kapiste projects like the KPI one, which organize the Buljono and then the Tutmonda.
Anyway, Kot Erasmus students never have time to be bored, and never stop enriching themselves thanks to the intersection of all these cultures inside the same accomodation.
Our aim is to make all foreign students discover our university, Belgium, our values, our traditions, our sense of celebration and the treasures of Louvain-la-Neuve!

Events
Make people meet by having a party every night at Kot Erasmus or at Le Post’. On top of that we temporarily host the Erasmus students in our dorms, supporting them while they’re looking for a kot.
You need pans, forks, knifes, a few cups, sheets or whatever ? Come have a glance at Kot Erasmus!
Your Erasmus adventure is ending, and you don’t know what to do with all these bowls, cups, plates, pillows, etc that you can’t bring back with you ? Come to Kot Erasmus !
Kot Erasmus is used to start his Country Presentation by Belgium. During the semester, once every two weeks, some Erasmus enjoy to present their own country to a Belgian and International public. It’s a moment where you can participate to a few quizzes or grab some free food too !
We rent a place called La Ratatouille where people (Belgians AND Erasmus) cook and share special dishes. On top of having a full belly, you also can enjoy good vibes like music and beers !
In order to make meet people, we organize our Surprise Dinner or Surprise Drink! If you like mysterious dates, you should sign up once!
Pay attention to your phone, you might receive at any moment the time and the place to be tonight !
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s day, Saint-Patrick…
Come walk throughout the Belgian countryside in the heart of the Ardennes !
Come watch a Hockey or Football match at Leuven or Brussels !
Stay tunned, we also might organize a paintball or laser game !
